FX Artist - Wired Talent

Responsibilities
- Develop real time effects utilizing particle sprites.
- Develop pre-rendered effects for use in video game cinematics.
- Develop textures needed for particle and FX in Photoshop.
- Work with artists and designers to create all special effects.
- Develop material and particle shaders using tools such as Unreal.

Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 years game industry experience.
- Experience in first person shooters and/or action adventure games.
- Production experience with high end CG Effects systems utilizing particle systems, dynamics, and procedural animation (Maya/MAX/etc).
- Understanding of real time game effects techniques such as sprites, vertex/pixel shaders and normal mapping.


Animator - Wired Talent

Responsibilities
- Create 3D art assets for next generation games under the direction of a Lead Artist.
- Experience animating both human and non-human characters.
- Solid grasp of the principles of body movement, anticipation, overshoot, follow-through,
squash and stretch, and essential facets of both 2D and 3D animation is essential
- Work well in a collaborative environment and readily take direction.

Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years game industry experience.
- Experience in first person shooters and/or action adventure games.
- Experience and proven ability in successfully driving the creation and implementation of
art and/or animation for assigned projects.
- Exceptional skill in animating the human bipedal figure as well as other organic forms.
- Self-driven, good communicator and a great team-player.
- A passion for games.


Website Assistant - Daily Trojan

The Daily Trojan is now hiring enthusiastic and dedicated website assistants for the fall 2007 semester. As a website assistant you will:

>Help maximize the newspaper's website, www.dailytrojan.com, using College Publisher

>Collaborate with senior editors and the DT design team to revamp the website to be more
visually appealing and user friendly

>Launch online features such as videos, podcasts, and update the site as needed.


Student Network Engineer (npi) - Transportation Foundation of Los Angeles

Intern will be responsible for supporting a Senior Systems Engineer of an established, boutique Information Technology firm which designs, develops and maintains computer networks for small-to medium sized law firms, private and non-profit sector organizations. Scope of work duties include and/or may require:

• Provide LAN/WAN and software support (including Microsoft Windows XP and 2003), on-demand;
• Design, implementation and maintenance of the network infrastructure;
• Troubleshoot Network, software and hardware issues with PCs, printers and fileserver;
• Working on-site with multiple end users;
• Commuting weekly to one or more clients locations in the Los Angeles area.

Qualifications:
Candidates with Network Engineering, Trouble Shooting and/or some Help Desk experience preferred. Computer Science/Information Technology students who have working knowledge of switches, firewalls, spam filters, fileservers, email and/or applications especially encouraged to apply. Ultimately, students are being sought who are willing to be trained and supported by a pioneering I.T. Industry professional.

All applicants must be available immediately and willing to commit at least six months for a Real Time Internship Program (RTIP) assignment. Intern candidates must have junior (second semester), senior or graduate school standing at a Southern California area college or university. A minimum 3.0 grade point average is required. Student Project Manager (mcm) - Transportation Foundation of Los Angeles

Intern will be responsible for supporting a Project Manager with a Construction Management firm performing under contracts with a large Education/ Institutional sector client. Scope of work activities include and/or require:

• Working on-site with registered Architects and licensed Professional Engineers during design phase of current project;
• Delivery of school designs and associated technical documentation as part of a new school construction program;
• Execute assignments related to management of Architectural and Design team management (i.e. all civil, structural, architectural, electrical and mechanical aspects in the designs and drawings for DSA approval);
• Co- Coordination of the focus work of the Architects and various sub-
Consulting engineers;
• Provide support during the tender bidding in order to answer technical questions regarding design and engineering issues;
• Assist in preparing project status reports during the design phase of the Project(s).

Qualifications:
Candidates with a Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Architecture or Engineering (i.e. Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) required. Client prefers candidates with strong interest in Project/Construction Management of commercial and/or public facilities. Familiarity with public contract code, a plus.
