Video Game Design and Management Minor

If all the world’s a stage, then video gaming is its most action-packed, cutting-edge arena. Acquire the tools you’ll need to express your creativity through interactive entertainment – as a game designer, game producer or quality assurance specialist. Through this interdisciplinary academic program between the Information Technology Program (ITP) and the School of Cinema/TV, you’ll be taught the basics of successful video game development, including the underlying principles behind game design and the framework for producing or project managing games. By the completion of the minor, you’ll be able to build your own game treatment and showcase it to an industry audience.


3D Animation Minor

Merging the disciplines on Fine Art, Cinema and Information Technology, the fundamentals of 3D animation are at your disposal, including lighting, color, composition, textures, scripting, special effects, and project management. Video Game Programming Minor

Among other topics, you’ll explore the ongoing legal battles with Internet file sharers; the legal aspects of network security; and how cyber criminals are brought to justice in the American legal system.
