Specialization Description
Computer systems and networks process countless personal and business transactions a day. With ever-growing concern over the privacy and security of digital information, Cyber Security has become one of the fastest-growing sectors in the technology industry. This specialization focuses on the concern over privacy and security of digital information and will train you to secure and protect organization systems, defend against hackers, and trap a cyber-criminal. Skills learned in this minor are indispensable to a potential employer and applicable to any field or discipline.

Requirements for completion (3 core courses plus one elective)

ITP 125- From Hackers to CEOs: An Introduction to Information Security (2 units)
ITP 325- Ethical Hacking and Systems Defense (3 units)
ITP 357- Enterprise Network Design (3 units)

Electives - choose one course (4 units)
ITP 425- Web Application Security
*Students must take ITP 325 prior to taking ITP 425.
ITP 457- Network Security
*Students must take ITP 357 prior to taking ITP 457.
