Part-Time Lecturer of Information Technology



Dr. Mehdi Ghayoumi is course facilitator at Cornell University, and adjunct faculty of USC Viterbi School of Engineering at University of Southern California. Prior to this, Prof. Ghayoumi was an adjunct faculty at university of SanDiego and research assistant professor at SUNY at Binghamton, where he was the dynamic leader of the Media Core Lab. He was also a lecturer (part-time faculty member) at Kent State University, where he received the KSU Teaching Award for two consecutive years in 2016 and 2017.

Research Summary

Dr. Ghayoumi is a scientist with interests in the areas of Machine Learning, Machine Vision, Robotics, and Human-Robot Interaction (HRI). His research focuses are on building real systems for realistic environment settings. His current projects have applications in Human Robot Interaction, manufacturing, bio-metric, and healthcare.
