Pierson Clair is a computer forensic investigator and technical security consultant. Mr. Clair is an EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) and is an active member of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association’s Los Angeles chapter (HTCIA). Mr. Clair’s senior thesis at the University of Southern California, (“Creating Policy to Mitigate Cyber Terror Attack Vectors Against Critical US Infrastructure”) outlined the protection of critical national infrastructure against cyber attack. He has developed the curriculum for and currently teaches both Apple/iOS computer forensics (ITP 445) and Mobile Device digital forensics (ITP 447).

Mr. Clair’s forensic experience includes partnerships with federal, state, and local law enforcement. He has worked with private sector clients and currently is the principal Apple and mobile device examiner with the computer forensics investigation firm Maryman & Associates. His specialties lie in the acquisition challenges presented by Apple desktops, laptops, and servers as well as with Apple and other mobile device hardware. His cases have involved both major corporations and small businesses. He has experience building the SAN and live streaming framework for multiple high-availability production centers. Prior to joining Maryman & Associates, Mr. Clair worked with U.S. security agencies and the United States Secret Service’s Los Angeles Electronic Crimes Task Force.

Benny Forer is a veteran criminal prosecutor with experience prosecuting cases ranging from narcotics offenses to gang murders to complex white collar crime. Currently, as a member of the prestigious High-Tech Crimes Unit, his job focuses on complex technologically based crimes. As a DA, Mr. Forer has investigated and prosecuted cases with State and Federal agencies. The uniqueness and variety of his caseload has created a demand for his public lectures. Mr. Forer created and developed the curriculum for and currently teaches the Cyber Law & Privacy Course (ITP 479). He has been volunteering with the ITP program since 2009, lecturing and conducting the yearly mock trial with the advanced forensic’s class.

Larry Jordan is an internationally-renowned consultant and digital media analyst with over 35 years experience as a television producer, director and editor with national broadcast and corporate credits. He is the foremost trainer in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro and Autodesk Smoke. His informative and entertaining teaching style provides video editors around the world with unique resources to increase productivity and enhance their skills.

Based in Los Angeles, he’s a member of both the Directors Guild of America and the Producers Guild of America. Jordan writes and edits the FREE “Larry Jordan Newsletter,” which provides essential information to the interested user of non-linear editing software. He is the author of hundreds of hours of online training and eight books including “Final Cut Pro X: Making the Transition” and the newly released, “Adobe Premiere Pro Power Tips: Secrets, Shortcuts, and Techniques.”

Jordan is also executive producer and host of the weekly interactive internet radio show and podcast, Digital Production BuZZ, providing everything you need to know about digital media, production, post-production and distribution.

Shirin Laor-Raz Salemnia is the Founder and CEO of PlayWerks, an interactive media company that creates high quality multi-platform immersive games and experiences that engage children and adults. She is also the Founder of WhizGirlsAcademy, where students engage in exciting projects that help them acquire coding skills while building confidence, healthy balanced lifestyles, and growing as members of their communities. She previously worked at MGA Entertainment on Bratz and at Mattel on Barbie, where she performed ongoing research and analysis of industry trends, consumer motivations and competitor activity. At MGA, she was responsible for designing the Play Lab, where children would gather for in-house research while she was the Brand Manager for the billion dollar Bratz brand.

Shirin is actively involved in the organization Women in Gaming, as well as serving as an advisor for multiple institutions including The White House Council of Women and Girls, Los Angeles Film School, The Girl Scouts of Greater LA, Woodbury University, the Bixel Exchange in collaboration with the LA Chamber of Commerce, and Girls in Tech. In 2013, she hosted the first Hackathon for Women and Girls with The White House Council of Women and Girls. In May 2014, she hosted the Kids Hack for LA in collaboration with Mayor Eric Garcetti, the White House, and will.i.am’s i.am.angel Foundation.
She is currently teaching Tech for Social Impact at USC School of Engineering (ITP)/ Viterbi.
In 2014, Shirin gave her Ted Talk “Are You a Gamer or a Gardener?” at the TedxYouth conference in Los Angeles, CA.

In March 2015, she was honored by LA Mayor Eric Garcetti and Los Angeles City Councilmember Mike Bonin as 2015 LA City Pioneer Woman of the Year.
And she was recently honored as a Disruptor Foundation (Tribeca) Innovation Fellow.

Michael Sheehan

Mike is a recent graduate from the award winning USC Games program. After getting his B.S. in Computer Science (Games), he continued to get his Master’s in Computer Science through USC’s Progressive Degree Program, wherein he focused on game development classes. His specialization has been mobile games since teaching himself Objective-C as the iPhone started to revolutionize mobile gaming.

He was worked on mobile games, predominately iOS, at several companies over the years, including at a successful startup in Vietnam founded by two other USC Alumni and worked on a top-grossing franchise at a burgeoning startup that was acquired by GREE, a leading mobile social game company based in Japan. He has been a Teaching Assistant for over three years for several ITP classes and a CS graduate class Web Technologies. He really enjoys sharing his passion and helping people learn about programming.

David Tang

David Tang is a web developer passionate about creating great user experiences and building maintainable applications. He started off his career as a full-stack developer but has transitioned to the front-end where his passion lies. David currently works as a UI Architect at Verizon Digital Media Services, building rich client-side applications that allow customers to configure and monitor their CDN usage.

David is also a part-time lecturer teaching web development courses for ITP, where he enjoys bringing the latest industry trends to the classroom to increase the skills of students from all backgrounds, not just engineers. You can find him at his blog http://thejsguy.com, where he frequently writes about JavaScript and testing. David holds BS and MS degrees in Industrial and Systems Engineering from USC.

Yuanbo Wang has more than six years of experience as a software developer in the website development industry. He is a part-time lecturer at USC Viterbi School’s Information Technology Program. He graduated with a degree in Computer Science from USC Viterbi’s School of Engineering in 2012. As a student, he founded SCombinator – a student club that brings real-world projects to USC student members. In addition to teaching, Yuanbo is the CEO of his Web Development Company, Bozway LLC., which he co-founded in 2011. Will Rain IT has become one of the fastest growing companies in the industry, and about 90% of its employees are USC Students or Alumni.
